Boo and I went to the rec center today to just get out of the house. It's been a relatively mild winter, but he's been obsessed with the Wii--which "Santa" took back to the "North Pole" because of Boo's Gollum-like tendencies with the stupid Mario game... Needless to say, he's not been super-interested it doing things, like...swimming or um, going to the park when it's nice enough to venture outside.
Today's visit was supposed to be a family affair, but Bay decided at noon to have a total and complete melt-down. Okay, nap is it. Babe stayed with her so I could take the boy to the pool, he was actually doing the, "Is it time to go yet? Now? Now? How about now?" thing, so I figured canceling was out of the picture.
He had a blast and we had some awesome mommy and Boo bonding time. He loved the little frog slide they had at the pool. He was being quite the daredevil--spinning around, going down sideways...I think he was trying to impress the cute lifeguard that was stationed there at the time. (He kept telling her, "Watch this, it's gonna be really cool!") I don't know how he got so much air between his bum and the slide, but he flew! The shot's completely blurry, but, he was going pretty fast...
